Form CT-07B is used for the registration and renewal of Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) in India. The registration is mandatory for CROs conducting clinical trials and other research-related activities to ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory standards under the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019.

Key Objectives of Form CT-07B:

  • Facilitating Renewals and Oversight: The form also serves as a means for renewing CRO registration, ensuring ongoing compliance with evolving regulations.

Who Needs to File Form CT-07B?

  • Any Clinical Research Organization (CRO) in India that conducts clinical trials for pharmaceutical drugs, biologics, and medical devices.
  • CROs engaged in bioavailability/bioequivalence (BA/BE) studies.

Validity of Registration:

  • Once approved, the registration is valid for five years.
  • CROs must apply for renewal before expiry using Form CT-07B.

Application Process:

  • The application must be submitted online through the CDSCO SUGAM Portal.
  • Requires details on company information, accreditation, trial experience, and infrastructure.
  • A registration fee of ₹5,00,000 applies.

  • It helps standardize clinical trial operations and maintains the credibility of clinical research in India.
  • Ensures that only qualified and ethical CROs are allowed to conduct trials, protecting the interests of patients, sponsors, and regulatory bodies.

Application Process:

  • New Users: Visit the SUGAM Portal and select “Clinical Research Organisation” as the registration purpose during sign-up. Complete the registration form and verify the provided email address. After approval from CDSCO, you can log in to the portal.
  • Existing Users: Log in to the SUGAM Portal, request an additional role as “Clinical Research Organisation” from your user profile, and ensure your profile is complete to enable form submission.
  • Submission Details: After logging in, navigate to the “Submit Application” page, select the “GCT Division” as the department, and choose “Form CT07B” as the form. Provide necessary details such as the purpose of application (registration or renewal), correspondence address, and accreditation information.

  • Registration Fee: A fee of ₹5,00,000 is applicable for the registration process.
