What is the difference between FMCG and FMCD?
FMCD stands for Fast Moving Consumer Durables. FMCG on the other hand is fast moving consumer goods. FMCG is different from FMCD.
FMCG products are consumed almost immediately and they need the consumer to replenish from time to time. While FMCD products don not exhaust with one usage. They can be used considerably for a longer period of time. Items like bricks could be considered perfectly durable goods because they should theoretically never wear out. Highly durable goods such as refrigerators or cars usually continue to be useful for several years of use, so durable goods are typically characterized by long periods between successive purchases.
